Our Team

Amanda Cattle has been a solicitor for twenty nine years , qualifying in July 1996  .  For the majority of those years she has focussed on ‘public law’ children cases representing parents, extended family members and the children themselves who are the subject of those family proceedings. Amanda often represents young people directly as well as when the child is younger through their CAFCASS ‘ Children’s Guardian ‘  . 

She has a forensic attention to detail to ensure her client(s) have the best possible representation . Amanda will ‘go the extra mile’ for her clients to try and ensure the right decisions are made by the family court Judges.  

Amanda has been an accredited member of the Law Society’s Children Panel since the 1 August 2000 which means she has a wealth of experience in care proceedings ,  Emergency Protection Order proceedings, Secure Accommodation proceedings and Deprivation of Liberty proceedings etc . 

Amanda does most of her own advocacy and advocacy on the cases of her colleagues at Powell Spencer and Partners  when they ask . If double booked or it is appropriate she knows the right Barrister to brief to give the best possible chance of the family court making the right , best decisions possible on each  case. 

Amanda has sought and  obtained leave to appeal at the Court of Appeal when the decisions made were appealable .
