Our Team

Amaya joined Powell Spencer & Partners in September 2025. 

After graduating from University of Sussex with a Law with Criminology LLB in 2024, she worked in the charity sector, followed by an internship in an Actions Against the Police and Public Law firm. 

Amaya currently assists Sandra Riordan in the Criminal Defence Department and has helped take instructions from clients in a wide range of cases. Much of the work Amaya has been involved in consists of drug and weapon offences, some cases concerning youths. 

Amaya is a member of Young Legal Aid Lawyers and is committed to equal access to justice, with a particular interest in working with vulnerable and exploited young people.
