Sean O’Brien
Sean joined Powell Spencer & Partners in August 2016 as a legal assistant to Sinead Zaman, a partner in the firm, in criminal defence proceedings.
Sean is now a qualified solicitor and police station representative. He has extensive experience running cases involving a wide range of offences, including sexual offences, violence and drug offences.
Sean assists clients at all stages of the criminal justice process—from police station interviews to trial and appeal—in both Magistrates’ and Crown Courts.
His practice spans a broad spectrum of offences, including serious violence, drug conspiracies, sexual offences, fraud, and driving matters. Sean is a passionate defender of his clients’ rights and has a strong track record of achieving acquittals, sentence reductions, and discontinued prosecutions.
