Sonia Dass
Sonia graduated from the University of Hertfordshire in 1999 and completed her Legal Practice Course at BPP law school. She joined Powell Spencer in December 2001 as an outdoor clerk and qualified as a solicitor in 2004. Sonia initially practised Personal Injury Law supervised by former partner and Judge John Gillman.
Sonia now heads the Immigration Department and undertakes private immigration work. This includes entry clearance applications, applications made within the UK and appeals. Sonia also undertakes Judicial Review cases. Sonia has wide experience in all areas of immigration law and her work has included acting for minors and victims of domestic violence.
Sonia has acted very successfully in Applications and Appeals involving a Human Rights dimension and has been successful across the full range of matters that clients bring to her. She has knowledge of the Immigration rules and regulations pertaining to Immigration, Asylum Naturalisation applications and has succeeded in many bail applications for detained clients. Sonia is fluent in Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu.
